Ceramic Matrix Composites are specialty blends of a ceramic fiber into a solid base of a different ceramic. The purpose is to capitalize on the best properties of both materials so the CMC can outperform either. CMC’s are generally custom formulated and produced to specific application needs. Achieving precision features is possible by diamond grinding.
